Waqar Sawaya vs David May

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Johor promoted show at Johor Bahru Syun, Johor Bahru,  taking place on 03/03/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Malaysia-Johor Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV3, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqar Sawaya (15 - 1 - 4) who hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and David May(12 - 2) from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  Sawaya weighed in at 125 pounds and 14 ounces, while May weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Obaid Diab, and the three ringside judges are Gazi Shariff, Shayan Hossain and Rehan Sabet.
