Morgan Johnston vs Brin Maaka

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Waikato promoted show at Chris Cowen Gym, Hamilton,  taking place on 05/03/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Waikato Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Morgan Johnston (7 - 3 - 5) who hails from Hamilton, New Zealand and Brin Maaka(11 - 6 - 5) from Hamilton, New Zealand.  Johnston weighed in at 129 pounds and 6 ounces, while Maaka weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kris Kena, and the three ringside judges are Eti Manihera, Aika Rako and Leo Touch.
