Cortez Corotan vs Jose Lazcano

Boxing Daily Report from the Batangas Gym promoted show at Alejandro Monica Gym, Quezon City,  taking place on 07/02/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Cortez Corotan (0 - 0) who hails from Taguig, Philippines and Jose Lazcano(2 - 1 - 1) from Quezon City, Philippines.  Both Corotan and Lazcano weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Macalinaw, and the three ringside judges are Edmundo Cepeda, Wayne Linsangan and Rob Picado.  

Round 1: 

Corotan lands a cross.

Corotan closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Corotan drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Lazcano connects with a cross.

Corotan advances into close range.  Lazcano throws a right uppercut, but Corotan holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Corotan pushes his forearm into Lazcano's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Corotan.  
Corotan advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Corotan ties up his opponent.  Corotan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
