Xeres Vargas vs Zelipe Albuquerque

Boxing Daily Report from the Baboghlyan Promotions promoted show at Angel Parco Gym, Recife,  taking place on 15/02/2027:

Clearly Baboghlyan Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Pernambuco Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xeres Vargas (2 - 13(1)) who hails from Recife, Brazil and Zelipe Albuquerque(13 - 7 - 1) from Recife, Brazil.  Both Vargas and Albuquerque weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kiki Almada, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Santiago, Juan Azevedo and Enzo Vida.  

Round 1: 

Albuquerque advances into close range.  Vargas tries to land a left hook, but Albuquerque sidesteps and counters with a cross.
