Floyd Bedel vs Leighton Saucer

Boxing Daily Report from the Yassa Promotions promoted show at Oliver Benichou Gym, Edmonton,  taking place on 16/03/2027:

Clearly Yassa Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Floyd Bedel (10 - 4 - 5) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Leighton Saucer(13 - 1 - 1) from Edmonton, Canada.  Both Bedel and Saucer weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amon Adie, and the three ringside judges are Clint Craig, Oscar Lewis and Robert Methvin.  

Round 1: 

Saucer steps inside.  Saucer voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Bedel steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.
