Ryuu Asa vs Shin Watanabe

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Ariake Urban Sports Park, Tokyo,  taking place on 13/03/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Tokyo Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ryuu Asa (3 - 9 - 2) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Shin Watanabe(4 - 10 - 3) from Chofu, Japan.  Both Asa and Watanabe weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michi Uyehara, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Morita, Fumio Nakazawa and Kaede Toyama.  

Round 1: 

Watanabe tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Watanabe's body.

Asa gets on the inside.  Asa connects with a left hook.  Watanabe wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Asa has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.
