Chrestien Paille vs Audric Giroud

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Claude Robillard Centre, Montreal,  taking place on 20/03/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sportsnet, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chrestien Paille (5 - 0) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and Audric Giroud(6 - 3(1) - 4) from Burnaby, Canada.  Both Paille and Giroud weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Varocher Painchaud, and the three ringside judges are Destin Dauphin, Verrier Luna and Aaron Henry.  

Round 1: 

Paille lands a stinging right uppercut.  
Paille hits home with a solid cross.  
Paille lands a jab.  
Giroud is looking to close the distance.  Paille lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Paille digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Paille lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Paille gets on the inside and drives a solid left hook into Giroud's body.  Paille clinches his opponent.  Paille is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Paille is on target with a sharp left hook.  Paille ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Paille pushes his forearm into Giroud's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Paille wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Giroud dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Giroud.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Paille is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.

Paille advances into close range and hits home with a firm left hook.  Paille holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Paille pushes his forearm into Giroud's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Paille.  
Paille closes the distance and walks Giroud down, trapping him in a corner.  Paille lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Giroud's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Giroud's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
