Odilon Mendy vs Dominique Tabi

Boxing Daily Report from the Wigwam Promotions promoted show at Stade de Ngor, Dakar,  taking place on 31/03/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Odilon Mendy (21 - 1) who hails from Pikine, Senegal and Dominique Tabi(9 - 11(1) - 2) from Douala, Cameroon.  Both Mendy and Tabi weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Orleans Dabo, and the three ringside judges are Sezni Beal, Romain Ndong and Dominique Le Roy Ladurie.  

Round 1: 

Mendy closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Mendy voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Tabi accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Mendy.  Tabi connects with a right hook.

Mendy gets on the inside.  Tabi pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.
