Jun Shiro vs Naoki Ige

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Sumito Urayama Gym, Tokyo,  taking place on 21/03/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jun Shiro (4 - 0) who hails from Fuji, Japan and Naoki Ige(12 - 8 - 2) from Tokyo, Japan.  Shiro weighed in at 134 pounds and 7 ounces, while Ige weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yuichi Abe, and the three ringside judges are Michi Uyehara, Yuichi Abe and Takeo Taira.  

Round 1: 

Shiro gets on the inside and manouvers Ige into a corner.  Shiro lands a right hook.  Shiro wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ige dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Shiro pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Shiro tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Shiro lands a cross to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Shiro is looking to close the distance.  Shiro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Shiro sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Shiro lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Shiro gets on the inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Ige blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Shiro lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Ige pivots from in front of his opponent.  Shiro tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook to Shiro's body.  
Ige is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.

Shiro manages to force Ige onto the ropes.  Shiro sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Ige quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Shiro connects with a right uppercut.  Shiro tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Shiro closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Shiro pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Shiro lands a left hook.  
Shiro lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Shiro gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.

Shiro manouvers Ige into a neutral corner.  Ige throws a right hook, but Shiro ties up his opponent.  Shiro pushes his forearm into Ige's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Shiro lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Shiro connects with a stinging right hook.  
Shiro lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Shiro closes the distance.  Ige pivots from in front of his opponent.  Shiro drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Shiro clinches his opponent.  Shiro leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Shiro steps inside.  Ige attempts to land a right uppercut, but Shiro parries the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.

Ige is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Ige sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ige attempts to land an overhand right, but Shiro slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Shiro closes the distance and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Shiro drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Shiro advances into close range.  Ige pivots to the left of his opponent.  Shiro drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.
