Bob Marshall vs Michael Gill

Boxing Daily Report from the Serero Promotions promoted show at Raleigh Monroe, Raleigh,  taking place on 02/03/2027:

Clearly Serero Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bob Marshall (4 - 12 - 1) who hails from Durham, USA and Michael Gill(8 - 9 - 3) from Charlotte, USA.  Both Marshall and Gill weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bryan James, and the three ringside judges are Kian Bourne, Gareth McCoach and Chris Farm.  

Round 1: 

Gill closes the distance.  Gill drives a left uppercut into Marshall's ribs.  
Gill sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Marshall throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Marshall throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Gill time to recover.  
Gill lands a cross.  
Marshall finds the target with a jab.  
Marshall drives a left hook into Gill's body.  
Marshall drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Marshall is on target with a jab.

Marshall tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Gill is on target with a jab.  
Gill steps inside.  Marshall quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Marshall attempts to land a right hook, but Gill dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Marshall's ribs.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Marshall has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused a nasty cut .  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  We are going to the scorecards.
