Jawad Jasem vs Saad Khalaf

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Police Officers' Club Stadium, Dubai,  taking place on 08/05/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Middle East Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Al Jazeera Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jawad Jasem (22(10) - 0) who hails from Dubai, UAE and Saad Khalaf(18(1) - 3 - 1) from Dubai, UAE.  Both Jasem and Khalaf weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Haider Albishi, and the three ringside judges are Shayan Hakimi, Syed Aman and Farhan Akif.  

Round 1: 

Jasem lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Jasem hits the target with a hard jab.  
Khalaf connects with an overhand right.  
Khalaf closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Jasem lands a jab to the head, a right hook to the head and a cross to the body.  
Jasem drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Khalaf advances into close range and lands a right uppercut.  Khalaf tries to land a left hook, but Jasem blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Jasem switches the action to the outside.  Khalaf hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Khalaf steps inside.  Jasem lands a stinging left uppercut.  
Jasem is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a firm cross.  
Khalaf lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

As Khalaf tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
