Montrose Herard vs James Brand

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Tait McKenzie Centre, Toronto,  taking place on 03/05/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Canada Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Montrose Herard (21 - 0) who hails from Gaineau, Canada and James Brand(17 - 6(3) - 1) from Edmonton, Canada.  Both Herard and Brand weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Nixon, and the three ringside judges are Scott Hughes, Mark Mowat and Callum Berry.
