Colin Peters vs Michael Kingan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Connecticut promoted show at James Speir Gym, New Haven,  taking place on 18/03/2027:

Clearly AI USA-Connecticut have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Connecticut Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Colin Peters (7 - 9(1)) who hails from Waterbury, USA and Michael Kingan(16 - 0) from Stamford, USA.  Peters weighed in at 111 pounds and 13 ounces, while Kingan weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Andy Swaney, and the three ringside judges are James Waterston, John Kippen and Inigo Kelton.  

Round 1: 

Kingan is looking to close the distance.  Kingan pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

As Kingan tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Peters dabs at his face checking for damage.

Kingan is on target with a left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Peters.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.
