Dave Hardie vs Brin Gordon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Indiana promoted show at Rob Bellis Gym, Evansville,  taking place on 18/03/2027:

Clearly AI USA-Indiana have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Indiana Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Hardie (7 - 9 - 4) who hails from Fort Wayne, USA and Brin Gordon(11 - 1 - 2) from Fort Wayne, USA.  Both Hardie and Gordon weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tobias Gowans, and the three ringside judges are Joseph Nicolson, Sam Skilling and Bruce Nish.  

Round 1: 

Hardie switches the action to the outside.  Hardie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gordon connects with a cross.  
Gordon advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Gordon forces Hardie to back into the ropes.  Gordon hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Gordon drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  
Gordon is on target with a firm left hook.  
Gordon lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Gordon is on target with a hard jab.  
Gordon advances into close range.  Hardie connects with a left hook.  
Gordon pivots from in front of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Hardie is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hardie's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Hardie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Gordon's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

As Gordon tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hardie dabs at his face checking for damage.

Gordon digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gordon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm right uppercut to Hardie's body.
