Michael Downie vs John Stephens

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Saint Andrew promoted show at Harry Beaton Gym, New Kingston,  taking place on 23/03/2027:

Clearly AI Jamaica-Saint Andrew have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Jamaica-Saint Andrew Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Downie (3 - 13(1) - 1) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and John Stephens(9 - 8 - 3 - 1(NC)) from New Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Downie and Stephens weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Law, and the three ringside judges are Dave Blackard, John Nichol and John Cullom.  

Round 1: 

Stephens is on target with a jab.

Downie gets on the inside.  Downie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Stephens pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Downie dabs at his face checking for damage.
