Mark Hilley vs Yasin Kakazai

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 01/05/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Oceania Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mark Hilley (25(10) - 4(1) - 1) who hails from Townsville, Australia and Yasin Kakazai(14(1) - 5(2) - 1) from Newcastle, Australia.  Both Hilley and Kakazai weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Evan, and the three ringside judges are Mel Culp, Hugh Durie and Ian Corrie.
