Jesus Saldivar vs Rob Lannon

Boxing Daily Report from the Jacob Howes promoted show at Jacob Gym, Munich,  taking place on 03/04/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jesus Saldivar (3 - 0) who hails from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay and Rob Lannon(4 - 9 - 4) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Saldivar and Lannon weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Deutsch Birkel, and the three ringside judges are Arnald Peachey, Bertram Stockner and Einhardt Matzek.  

Round 1: 

Saldivar lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Lannon finds the target with a jab.  
Saldivar advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Saldivar ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Saldivar pushes his forearm into Lannon's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lannon walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Saldivar lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Saldivar is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Lannon pivots to the right of his opponent.  Saldivar lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Saldivar is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Saldivar ties up his opponent.  Saldivar is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lannon throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Saldivar sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Saldivar's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Lannon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Saldivar lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Saldivar closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Saldivar advances into close range.  Saldivar lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Lannon wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Saldivar.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Saldivar gets on the inside.  Saldivar pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Lannon throws a right hook, but Saldivar ties up his opponent.  Saldivar leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Saldivar is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Saldivar is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Lannon on the ropes.  Saldivar lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Saldivar lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Saldivar walks Lannon into a corner.  Saldivar connects with a right uppercut.

Saldivar lands two right hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Saldivar is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Saldivar gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  Saldivar ties up his opponent.  Lannon uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Saldivar behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lannon about fouling.
