Manuel Canseco vs Venacio Veloz

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Sesc Pompeia, Sao Paulo,  taking place on 02/05/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Manuel Canseco (6(1) - 0) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Venacio Veloz(15 - 10(4) - 5) from Bahía Blanca, Argentina.  Both Canseco and Veloz weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Guillermo Santana, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Lobos, Rodrigo Narciso and Santiago Viveiros.  

Round 1: 

Canseco hits home with a left uppercut.

Some sustained pressure from Canseco could be enough to finish Veloz!  Canseco lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head, AND VELOZ IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Veloz now seems to have his senses back.

Canseco steps inside.  Canseco sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Canseco attempts to land a right hook, but Veloz blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Veloz is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Canseco time to recover.
