Cruz Diaz vs Emilio Melena

Boxing Daily Report from the Callybox promoted show at Baltasar Estremera Gym, Ensenada,  taking place on 26/03/2027:

Clearly Callybox have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cruz Diaz (4 - 0) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Emilio Melena(7 - 1 - 2) from Mexicali, Mexico.  Diaz weighed in at 160 pounds, while Melena weighed in at 159 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sagaz Moya, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Navarra, Angel Carpio and Nicandro Delgadillo.  

Round 1: 

Diaz closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook to Diaz's liver.
