Arran Sheehy vs Pat McTavish

Boxing Daily Report from the Braveheart promoted show at Bellahouston Sports Ctr, Glasgow,  taking place on 06/05/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the British-Northern England Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Arran Sheehy (16(4) - 1) who hails from Sunderland, UK and Pat McTavish(6 - 12(1) - 4) from Newcastle, UK.  Sheehy weighed in at 225 pounds and 14 ounces, while McTavish weighed in at 237 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Charlie MacNeal, and the three ringside judges are David Glendening, David Yates and Clint Irvine.  

Round 1: 

McTavish lands a right hook.  
McTavish gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but Sheehy ties up his opponent.  Sheehy is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sheehy to stop fouling.  
Sheehy drives a stinging right uppercut into McTavish's body.  
Sheehy lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  Sheehy ties up his opponent.  Sheehy leans on his opponent using all his weight. Sheehy tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McTavish's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sheehy.  
Sheehy lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Sheehy ties up his opponent.  Sheehy pushes his forearm into McTavish's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sheehy about fouling.  
McTavish steps inside.  Sheehy lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sheehy lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Sheehy steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sheehy is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into McTavish's ribs.  
McTavish finds the target with a jab.  
Sheehy is on target with a firm right hook to McTavish's body.  
Sheehy throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Sheehy holds on to his opponent.  Sheehy leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sheehy manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Sheehy drives a left uppercut into McTavish's ribs.  
Sheehy lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Sheehy digs in a sharp right hook to McTavish's ribs.

Sheehy sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  As McTavish tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sheehy dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sheehy digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Sheehy closes the distance and is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sheehy digs in a right uppercut to McTavish's body.  
Sheehy gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Sheehy clinches his opponent.  Sheehy tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McTavish's kidney. The referee warns Sheehy and breaks the clinch.

Sheehy is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Sheehy lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES MCTAVISH!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like McTavish has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND SENDS MCTAVISH SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  It looks like McTavish has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
