John Abbott vs Chris Maddux

Boxing Daily Report from the The wright promotion promoted show at Kingston Geels, Kingston,  taking place on 25/04/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Jamaica Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Abbott (15(5) - 4(4) - 1) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Chris Maddux(7 - 2 - 1) from New Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Abbott and Maddux weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matthew Christopher, and the three ringside judges are Mark Spotswood, Geoff Torrence and Chris Moir.  

Round 1: 

Abbott steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Maddux sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
