Ibrahim Yacoub vs Davie Johnston

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 08/05/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Asia-Oceania Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ibrahim Yacoub (24(4) - 3(1)) who hails from Dubai, UAE and Davie Johnston(14(1) - 8 - 2) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Yacoub and Johnston weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Deasmhumhain, and the three ringside judges are Barry Forbes, Tobias Bruce and Oliver Mullane.
