Joaquin Balles vs Ivan Placido

Boxing Daily Report from the Luminarias del Boxeo promoted show at Barcelona Olmos, Barcelona,  taking place on 02/05/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Spain-Catalonia Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Marca TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Balles (7 - 7(1) - 3) who hails from Barcelona, Spain and Ivan El Terrible Placido(17(2) - 0) from Sabadell, Spain.  Both Balles and Placido weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Beltran Frasco, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Pinedo, Leonardo Lusco and Berto Guillermo.  

Round 1: 

Placido lands with a hard jab.
