Diego Rayon vs Leroy Mauriac

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Centre Étienne Desmarteau - Ice Rink Caroline Ouellette, Montreal,  taking place on 14/05/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Super Channel, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Diego Rayon (4 - 0) who hails from Arequipa, Peru and Leroy Mauriac(5 - 3 - 3) from Quebec City, Canada.  Both Rayon and Mauriac weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Mabon, and the three ringside judges are Aramis Duvauchelle, Paris Clarin and Verrier Luna.  

Round 1: 

Rayon gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps.  Rayon holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Rayon pushes his forearm into Mauriac's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Rayon to stop fouling.

That has caused a slight cut above the right eye.  .  The ref halts the action and sends Rayon to the neutral corner.    He tells Mauriac to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.
