Mark Devlin vs Mark Salmond

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Ian Salmond Gym, Christchurch,  taking place on 09/04/2027:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Canterbury have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Devlin (5 - 12(2) - 2) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Mark Salmond(4 - 3) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Devlin weighed in at 219 pounds and 6 ounces, while Salmond weighed in at 236 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ikei Kahu, and the three ringside judges are Tobias Vert, Mark Atchison and Joshua Dallis.  

Round 1: 

Salmond voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Devlin tries to tag Salmond on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Devlin steps inside.  Salmond hits home with a left uppercut.
