Hayden Balala vs John Gikonyo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Odongo, Nairobi,  taking place on 08/05/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hayden Balala (9 - 8(3) - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and John Gikonyo(7 - 10(1) - 1) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Balala and Gikonyo weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bob Mbiyu, and the three ringside judges are Leon Cassam, Rob Birdi and Rex Odhieng.
