Gethin Phiri vs Oringo Muthambi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Eastern Cape promoted show at Eghenyan Gym, Port Elizabeth,  taking place on 08/05/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gethin Phiri (10 - 1) who hails from iBhayi, South Africa and Oringo Muthambi(10 - 11 - 3) from Soshanguve, South Africa.  Phiri weighed in at 135 pounds, while Muthambi weighed in at 134 pounds And 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Danny Luteka, and the three ringside judges are Arnie Verster, Rob Tshiepela and Dele Hlatshwayo.
