Edward Kenrick vs Corey McCaskill

Boxing Daily Report from the Mandale Boxing Promotions promoted show at Blake MacGinnis Gym, Melbourne,  taking place on 11/05/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Edward Kenrick (15(8) - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Corey McCaskill(5 - 0) from Newcastle, Australia.  Both Kenrick and McCaskill weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arran Forbes, and the three ringside judges are Joey Mahtesyan, Ian Suit and Mark Givan.  

Round 1: 

McCaskill hits home with a left hook.  
McCaskill is on target with a left hook to Kenrick's body.  McCaskill throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.

McCaskill tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kenrick feints a jab and triggers a cross counter from McCaskill.  Kenrick avoids the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Kenrick steps inside.  McCaskill throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Kenrick gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Kenrick sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Kenrick advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kenrick dabs at his face checking for damage.  
McCaskill lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kenrick closes the distance and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
McCaskill pivots to the right of his opponent.  Kenrick lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Kenrick cuts off the ring, trapping McCaskill on the ropes.  Kenrick hits home with a left hook.  
Kenrick digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Kenrick lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

McCaskill drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Kenrick steps inside.  McCaskill drives a left hook into Kenrick's liver.  McCaskill goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Kenrick time to recover.

McCaskill attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Kenrick's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
