Sergey Kukura vs Niall MacConnell

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringtime Ukraine promoted show at Sports Palace Galychyna, Lviv,  taking place on 20/05/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sergey Kukura (14(1) - 3) who hails from Zaporizhia, Ukraine and Niall MacConnell(8 - 12 - 1) from Waterford, Ireland.  Kukura weighed in at 159 pounds And 12 ounces, while MacConnell weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dmitri Novosad, and the three ringside judges are Mikhail Levitsky, Dmitri Novosad and Vasili Mitnick.  

Round 1: 

Kukura closes the distance.  Kukura voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  MacConnell tries to tag Kukura on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!

MacConnell pivots to the right of his opponent.  Kukura lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
MacConnell sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Kukura gets on the inside.  MacConnell sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kukura lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.
