Dakarai Gichere vs Joel Mitambo

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Nairobi City Stadium, Nairobi,  taking place on 29/05/2027:

Clearly African Fusion have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Eastern African Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WWX Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dakarai Gichere (15 - 5(3)) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Joel Mitambo(19(6) - 2(2)) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Both Gichere and Mitambo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Manu Yator, and the three ringside judges are Rex Odhieng, Rehan Abed and Yobachi Rubia.
