Elbert Matte vs Fonzell Ambs

Boxing Daily Report from the Agyemang-Badu Promotions promoted show at Eberhart Binz Gym, Hamburg,  taking place on 20/05/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Germany-Hamburg Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Elbert Matte (14 - 2 - 1) who hails from Hamburg, Germany and Fonzell Ambs(12 - 5 - 2) from Hamburg, Germany.  Matte weighed in at 234 pounds and 6 ounces, while Ambs weighed in at 252 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Louis Heit, and the three ringside judges are Adelberto Gauerke, Rüdiger Dehner and Decker Decamp.  

Round 1: 

Matte lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Matte steps to the outside.  Matte feints a right hook, and then connects with a firm overhand right.  
Ambs advances into close range.  Matte lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Matte tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a cross.

Ambs gets on the inside.  Matte lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Ambs gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Matte dabs at his face checking for damage.
