Mikhail Varlamov vs Clint Akins

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Ricoh Coliseum, Toronto,  taking place on 10/06/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikhail Varlamov (25(21) - 1(1)) who hails from Prokopyevsk, Russia and Clint Akins(17 - 4) from Edmonton, Canada.  Varlamov weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces, while Akins weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ian Watkins, and the three ringside judges are Jean-Baptiste Villon, Noah Marr and Dave Sleigh.

Akins manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Varlamov drives a left hook into Akins's body.

Varlamov lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Akins quickly recovers. 
Varlamov lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Varlamov attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Akins time to recover.  
Varlamov switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Akins steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Varlamov switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Varlamov lands a jab.  
Varlamov lands with a stiff jab.  
Akins closes the distance and forces Varlamov to retreat onto the ropes.  Akins lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Varlamov clinches his opponent.  Akins pushes his forearm into Varlamov's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Varlamov lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Akins almost instantly gets his legs back. 
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Akins's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Varlamov crashes a hurtful left hook to Akins's liver.  AKINS IS HURT!  Varlamov attempts to land a left uppercut, but Akins sidesteps and counters with a cross.  Akins recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Varlamov steps away from his opponent and is on target with a FEARSOME overhand right.  IT LOOKS LIKE AKINS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!
