Irfan Yacoub vs Waqas Askerov

Boxing Daily Report from the Andoh Promotions promoted show at Tabriz Hamidi, Tabriz,  taking place on 22/05/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Iran-East Azerbaijan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IRIB, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Irfan Yacoub (12(1) - 4) who hails from Tabriz, Iran and Waqas Askerov(8 - 1) from Tabriz, Iran.  Yacoub weighed in at 140 pounds, while Askerov weighed in at 139 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Imran Shehadeh, and the three ringside judges are Tariq Hariri, Syed Galla and Rashid Harroun.
