Alfonso Gaona vs Zacarias Barriga

Boxing Daily Report from the Shakalongo Promotions promoted show at Barquisimeto Cristo, Barquisimeto,  taking place on 02/06/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Venezuela-Lara Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alfonso Gaona (8(2) - 0) who hails from Barquisimeto, Venezuela and Zacarias Barriga(9 - 6 - 2) from Barquisimeto, Venezuela.  Both Gaona and Barriga weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hernan Pecha, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Alviar, Santiago Cardiel and Rodrigo Gomez.
