Hilario Babasa vs Ximen Mattos

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Laguna promoted show at Ivan Ponce Gym, San Pablo,  taking place on 05/06/2027:

Clearly AI Philippines-Laguna have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Laguna Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hilario Babasa (6 - 13 - 2) who hails from Calamba, Philippines and Ximen Mattos(9 - 7 - 3 - 1(NC)) from Calamba, Philippines.  Both Babasa and Mattos weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Orlando Arrendondo, and the three ringside judges are Lisandro Silago, Arnie Gumiran and Miguel Nieto.

Babasa closes the distance.  Mattos pivots to the side of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Babasa dabs at his face checking for damage.  Babasa has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused swelling  around the right eye.

Babasa lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mattos manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Mattos pivots to the right of his opponent.  Babasa hits home with a cross.
