Santiago Prior vs Russel Gayet

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Centre Étienne Desmarteau - Ice Rink Caroline Ouellette, Montreal,  taking place on 12/06/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Santiago Prior (3(1) - 0) who hails from Huacho, Peru and Russel Gayet(4(1) - 11(1) - 3) from Montreal, Canada.  Prior weighed in at 118 pounds, while Gayet weighed in at 117 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Mostyn, and the three ringside judges are James Mabon, Brendan Aitken and Paris Clarin.  

Round 1: 

Prior closes the distance and is on target with a solid right hook to Gayet's ribcage.

Prior advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  Prior clinches his opponent.  Prior leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gayet's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Gayet's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Gayet's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Prior digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  Prior clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Prior pushes his forearm into Gayet's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
