Drud Kurr vs Dean McGowan

Boxing Daily Report from the Jacob Howes promoted show at Royal Dublin Society, Dublin,  taking place on 26/06/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are The German Giant Drud Kurr (21(15) - 0) who hails from Chemnitz, Germany and Dean McGowan(6 - 5) from Dundalk, Ireland.  Kurr weighed in at 248 pounds and 4 ounces, while McGowan weighed in at 239 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sam McCaig, and the three ringside judges are Joshua McColl, Floyd Hobbs and Roy Clery.  

Round 1: 

Kurr tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McGowan finds the target with a jab.

McGowan steps inside.  McGowan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McGowan throws a right hook, but Kurr clinches his opponent.  Kurr leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Kurr lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Kurr steps to the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
McGowan gets on the inside.  Kurr lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kurr is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kurr lands a sharp jab to his opponents body.  
Kurr connects with a firm cross.  
Kurr is looking to keep his distance and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
McGowan lands a jab.

McGowan gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Kurr clinches his opponent.  Kurr is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kurr.

McGowan connects with a cross.  
Kurr feints a cross, but McGowan is not fooled and is on target with a left hook.

Kurr is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land an overhand left, but McGowan blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kurr lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kurr digs in a right uppercut to McGowan's ribs.  
Kurr tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kurr lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Kurr steps away from his opponent and lands with a ramrod jab.  
McGowan strikes his opponents body with a jab.

McGowan is on target with a left hook.  
McGowan closes the distance.  Kurr lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kurr lands a sharp cross.  
Kurr lands a spiteful jab.  
McGowan steps inside.  Kurr lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Kurr ties up his opponent.  Kurr uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on McGowan's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kurr to stop fouling.  
Kurr tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Kurr attempts to land a jab, but McGowan sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
McGowan manages to force Kurr onto the ropes.  Kurr knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Kurr lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS MCGOWAN TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like McGowan has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Kurr pivots to the side of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Kurr switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McGowan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a jab into Kurr's body.  
Kurr feints a cross, and then lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kurr is on target with a sharp cross.  
McGowan steps inside.  Kurr lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kurr steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND MCGOWAN IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  McGowan recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kurr lands an overhand left to the head, a cross to the head and a jab to the body.  
Kurr steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kurr feints a right hook, and then hits home with a solid overhand right.
