Jack Voyles vs Michael Skobov

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-Capital Territory promoted show at Ian Hamel Gym, Canberra,  taking place on 01/06/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Jack Voyles (0 - 0) who hails from Canberra, Australia and Michael Skobov(1 - 0) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Voyles and Skobov weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Kilbride, and the three ringside judges are Irfan Dallal, Noel Wilson and Neil Cookston.

Voyles throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks Voyles's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Voyles manouvers Skobov onto the ropes.  Voyles drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Voyles closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Voyles throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Voyles advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Voyles is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  Voyles ties up his opponent.  Voyles leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Voyles lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Voyles closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Skobov in a neutral corner.  Voyles lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Voyles lands a firm left hook.  
Voyles lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Voyles quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Skobov throws a right uppercut, but Voyles ties up his opponent.  Voyles is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.

Voyles is on target with a firm right uppercut to Skobov's ribcage.  Voyles clinches his opponent.  Voyles tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Skobov's kidney. At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Skobov's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Skobov's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Skobov's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
