Jose Ronquillo vs Alejandro Pupo

Boxing Daily Report from the Miki González promoted show at Miki Gym, Murcia,  taking place on 25/06/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jose Ronquillo (2 - 0) who hails from Murcia, Spain and Alejandro Pupo(0 - 2 - 1) from Valladolid, Spain.  Both Ronquillo and Pupo weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Guzman, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Solar, Senon Monterrosa and Quico Magin.  

Round 1: 

Ronquillo lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Pupo walks Ronquillo down, trapping him in the red corner.  Ronquillo lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Ronquillo manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ronquillo lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Pupo is looking to close the distance.  Ronquillo is on target with a left uppercut.  
Pupo walks his opponent into the corner.  Pupo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Ronquillo hits home with a cross.

Ronquillo pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ronquillo attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Pupo to the neutral corner.  He warns Ronquillo to stop fouling or he'll lose a point.  
Ronquillo digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ronquillo drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Pupo lands a right uppercut.  
Pupo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ronquillo drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Ronquillo lands a left uppercut.  
Ronquillo lands a right uppercut.  
Ronquillo manouvers Pupo into the corner.  Ronquillo lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Ronquillo is on target with a left hook.  
Pupo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ronquillo throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ronquillo is on target with a left uppercut.  
Ronquillo closes the distance.  Ronquillo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ronquillo wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pupo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ronquillo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Pupo's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Pupo's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Pupo steps inside.  Ronquillo digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ronquillo forces Pupo to back into the corner.  Ronquillo sidesteps to the left of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Pupo.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Ronquillo lands a solid right uppercut.  
Pupo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ronquillo hits home with a firm cross.  
Pupo walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Pupo drives a cross into Ronquillo's body.  
Ronquillo is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Ronquillo drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Ronquillo digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Ronquillo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ronquillo is on target with a right hook to Pupo's body.  Ronquillo attempts to land a right hook, but Pupo blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
