Alvino Vela vs Bronco Lopez

Boxing Daily Report from the Castro Cigars promoted show at Havana Bula, Havana,  taking place on 15/06/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cuba-Havana Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alvino Vela (14(2) - 2) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Bronco Lopez(12 - 7 - 3) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Vela and Lopez weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alvino Navarra, and the three ringside judges are Desiderio Villavicencio, Francisco Amaya and Rodrigo Llamas.  

Round 1: 

Vela is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Vela clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Vela pushes his forearm into Lopez's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Vela to stop fouling.  
Lopez steps inside.  Vela pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Vela lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Vela holds on to his opponent.  Vela leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Vela's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Vela lands a straight 1 - 2.  Vela tries to land a cross, but Lopez blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lopez sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lopez tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Vela pivots to the right of his opponent.  Vela lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Vela ties up his opponent.  Lopez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Vela behind the head. The ref breaks Vela's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Vela gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Vela lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Lopez gets on the inside.  Vela lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Vela holds on to his opponent.  Vela is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Vela gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Vela ties up his opponent.  Vela leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Vela is on target with a solid right hook to Lopez's body.
