Floyd Pickens vs Owen Mewies

Boxing Daily Report from the Jon Crosby promoted show at London McCalla, London,  taking place on 16/06/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Southern England Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Floyd Pickens (9 - 10 - 2) who hails from London, UK and Owen Mewies(9 - 6(1) - 1) from Bristol, UK.  Both Pickens and Mewies weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lee Wynne, and the three ringside judges are Robert Desmond, Ollie Bains and Dom Buchan.  

Round 1: 

Pickens steps to the outside.  Pickens sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Pickens attempts to land a cross, but Mewies blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Pickens's body.
