Lisandro Calles vs Joaquin Cobo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI El Salvador-San Salvador promoted show at Isidro Calistro Gym, Mejicanos,  taking place on 18/06/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the El Salvador Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal 17, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Lisandro Calles (4 - 12(1) - 1) who hails from San Salvador, El Salvador and Joaquin Cobo(7 - 4 - 1) from San Salvador, El Salvador.  Both Calles and Cobo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Giron, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Madera, Oihane Fraga and Diego Abarca.  

Round 1: 

Cobo tries to land a left uppercut, but Calles slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Calles steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right.  
Cobo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Cobo steps inside and lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cobo advances into close range.  Calles sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cobo lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Cobo throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Cobo clinches his opponent.  Cobo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Calles behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cobo to stop fouling.  
Cobo gets on the inside and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Calles tries to land a jab, but Cobo blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
