Jake Namono vs Davie Kelley

Boxing Daily Report from the Melvin Grayshock Promotions promoted show at Jack Meyrick Gym, San Jose,  taking place on 23/06/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jake Katonda Namono (12(9) - 0) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Davie Kelley(2 - 4 - 1) from Huntsville, USA.  Both Namono and Kelley weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dylan Waddell, and the three ringside judges are Mark Kinnock, Cody Bustamante and Greg Blanco.  

Round 1: 

Kelley tries to land a left hook, but Namono slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Namono lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Namono walks his opponent into a corner.  Namono pivots to the left of his opponent.  Namono drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Namono clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Namono pushes his forearm into Kelley's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Namono.  
Namono feints a jab, tricking Kelley into throwing a left uppercut counter.  Namono is waiting for the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Kelley throws a left hook, but Namono ties up his opponent.  Namono throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Namono.  
Kelley attempts to land a left hook, but Namono slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Kelley's body.  
Namono pivots to the right of his opponent.  Namono lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Namono holds on to his opponent.  Namono leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Namono's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Namono lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Namono is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Kelley gets on the inside.  Namono lands a solid left hook.  
Namono is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Namono lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Namono hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
Namono is looking to close the distance and forces Kelley to retreat into a neutral corner.  Namono lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Namono lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Kelley recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Namono lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Namono clinches his opponent.  Namono leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Namono is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Namono feints a right hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Namono steps to the outside and finds the target with a hard jab.  
Namono lands a left hook.  
Namono pivots to the left of his opponent.  Namono drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents body.  Namono holds on to his opponent.  Namono is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Namono switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Namono gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Namono pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Namono lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Namono sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.

Namono thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Kelley away.  Namono lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook, cross and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS KELLEY TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Namono!
