Alen Blythe vs Malcolm Haig

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Saint Andrew promoted show at David Hannay Gym, New Kingston,  taking place on 22/06/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Jamaica-Saint Andrew Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alen Blythe (5 - 8(1)) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and Malcolm Haig(8 - 7 - 2) from New Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Blythe and Haig weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kyle Burnside, and the three ringside judges are David Leith, Ricky Hewson and Dave Blackard.  

Round 1: 

Haig gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Blythe steps away from his opponent and attempts to land an overhand right, but Haig sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Haig dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Haig.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Haig attempts to land a cross, but Blythe parries the shot and counters with a right hook.
