Carlos Barcelona vs Cruz Olivarez

Boxing Daily Report from the Castro Cigars promoted show at Havana Borbon, Havana,  taking place on 23/06/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Cuba-Havana Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos Barcelona (11(1) - 3 - 2) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Cruz Olivarez(12 - 12(2) - 3) from Havana, Cuba.  Barcelona weighed in at 146 pounds and 15 ounces, while Olivarez weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fanuco Recio, and the three ringside judges are Lisandro Abela, Berto Marcelino and Diego Villas.  

Round 1: 

Barcelona hits home with a sharp jab.  
Barcelona pivots to the side of his opponent.  Olivarez tries to land a left hook, but Barcelona sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Barcelona steps to the outside.  Olivarez throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Barcelona is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Olivarez attempts to land a jab, but Barcelona dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Barcelona sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Olivarez is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Barcelona steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Barcelona quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Barcelona lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Barcelona is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Olivarez dabs at his face checking for damage.

Barcelona lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Barcelona hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Barcelona pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Barcelona steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Barcelona forces Olivarez to back into the ropes.  Barcelona hits home with a left hook.  
Barcelona is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Barcelona tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab.
