Kei Nomura vs Akira Kubo

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Higuchi, Tokyo,  taking place on 26/07/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Kei Nomura (3 - 0) who hails from Toyota, Japan and Akira Kubo(2 - 7(1) - 1) from Yokohama, Japan.  Nomura weighed in at 168 pounds, while Kubo weighed in at 167 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Hikaru Nakamura, and the three ringside judges are Keiichi Iida, Yuji Tsutsumi and Isamu Nonaka.  

Round 1: 

Nomura is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kubo's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Kubo's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Kubo's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
