Joey Saam vs Danyaal Lone

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Bren Events Center, Irvine,  taking place on 14/07/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joey Saam (16(12) - 0) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Danyaal Lone(15 - 5) from Tabriz, Iran.  Both Saam and Lone weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zuffur Sylla, and the three ringside judges are John Stein, Louis Hemming and Justin Lever.  

Round 1: 

Saam is looking to close the distance.  Saam pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Lone lands a cross.  Lone attempts to land a left uppercut, but Saam parries the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Saam advances into close range.  Lone throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Saam digs in a left uppercut to Lone's ribs.  
Saam throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Saam clinches his opponent.  Saam is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Saam about fouling.  
Saam tries to land a right hook, but Lone sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Saam lands a right hook.  Saam holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Lone pushes his forearm into Saam's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Lone.  
Saam gets on the inside and hits home with a sharp right hook.  Saam ties up his opponent.  Saam is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Saam about fouling.  
Saam feints a right hook, but Lone ignores the feint and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Saam throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Saam advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Saam closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Saam lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS LONE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Lone quickly recovers. 
Saam gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Lone quickly recovers. 
Saam lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Saam lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Saam clinches his opponent.  Saam leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Saam cuts off the ring, trapping Lone on the ropes.  Saam connects with a stinging left uppercut.  
Lone lands a jab.  
Saam advances into close range.  Lone quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Saam lands a double left hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING LONE DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  Lone almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Lone connects with a right hook.  
Saam attempts to land a jab, but Lone slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Saam sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Saam tries to land a jab, but Lone slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Saam gets on the inside and hits home with a firm left uppercut.

Lone tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to Lone's liver.  
Saam closes the distance and is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Saam sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Lone finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Saam steps inside.  Lone pivots to the left of his opponent.  Saam throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Saam ties up his opponent.  Saam leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lone lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Saam feints a jab, tricking Lone into countering with a right hook.  Saam springs the trap, countering with  a left hook.  
Saam advances into close range.  Lone pivots to the side of his opponent.  Lone attempts to land a right uppercut, but Saam sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Saam lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Saam is looking to close the distance.  Lone throws a left hook, but Saam clinches his opponent.  Saam uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Lone's kidney. 
Lone quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Saam throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lone pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Lone lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Saam lands a sharp jab.  Saam throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lone feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Saam attempts to land a jab, but Lone blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Saam lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Saam advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Saam lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Lone recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Saam lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING LONE TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Lone recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
