Rob Ankrah vs Billy Lloyd

Boxing Daily Report from the Bones Promotions promoted show at Sid Moffet Gym, Oxnard,  taking place on 30/06/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rob Ankrah (18(13) - 0) who hails from Achiaman, Ghana and Billy Lloyd(7 - 3 - 7) from Santa Clarita, USA.  Both Ankrah and Lloyd weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alec Deans, and the three ringside judges are Paul Kelton, Peter Ronald and Josh Blancas.  

Round 1: 

Ankrah advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Ankrah lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Ankrah clinches his opponent.  Ankrah pushes his forearm into Lloyd's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ankrah to stop fouling.  
Ankrah connects with a firm left hook.  
Ankrah snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  Ankrah attempts to land a left hook, but Lloyd sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ankrah forces Lloyd to back into the ropes.  Ankrah drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lloyd's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Lloyd's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Lloyd's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Ankrah lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  Ankrah clinches his opponent.  Ankrah leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Ankrah has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Ankrah lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Ankrah ties up his opponent.  Ankrah is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Ankrah's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ankrah sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Ankrah lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Lloyd quickly recovers.

Ankrah closes the distance and connects with a spiteful left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE LLOYD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Lloyd almost instantly gets his legs back.

Ankrah advances into close range and manages to force Lloyd onto the ropes.  Ankrah connects with a right hook.  
Ankrah feints a cross, but Lloyd does not fall for it and responds with a cross.  
Ankrah lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lloyd steps to the outside.  Ankrah is on target with a stinging overhand left.

Ankrah lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Ankrah steps inside and lands a stinging right uppercut.

Ankrah advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Ankrah connects with a potent left hook.  LLOYD IS HURT!  
Ankrah thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Lloyd away.  Ankrah connects with a WICKED left uppercut.  LLOYD HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Lloyd now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
