Gervasio Mirando vs Hilario Gordon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Valle del Cauca promoted show at Juan Gaytan Gym, Buenaventura,  taking place on 13/07/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gervasio Mirando (17(15) - 1) who hails from Manta, Ecuador and Hilario Gordon(3 - 3 - 1) from Buenaventura, Colombia.  Mirando weighed in at 112 pounds, while Gordon weighed in at 111 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Grimaldo, and the three ringside judges are Angel Manjarrez, Frisco Rodriguez and Ora Prudencio.  

Round 1: 

Gordon advances into close range.  Mirando connects with a solid left hook.  Mirando holds on to his opponent.  Mirando leans on his opponent using all his weight. Mirando pushes his forearm into Gordon's face.  The ref breaks Mirando's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gordon drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Mirando switches the action to the outside.  Mirando sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Mirando switches the action to the outside.  Mirando feints a jab, and then lands a cross to the head, an overhand left to the head and a jab to the body.  
Gordon is on target with a jab.  
Gordon throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Gordon closes the distance.  Mirando throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Mirando ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mirando pushes his forearm into Gordon's face.  The ref breaks Mirando's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gordon gets on the inside.  Mirando throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Mirando ties up his opponent.  Mirando pushes his forearm into Gordon's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mirando to stop fouling.  
Mirando lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Mirando ties up his opponent.  Mirando leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Mirando's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mirando lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Mirando lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Mirando switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Mirando sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gordon attempts to land a cross, but Mirando slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Gordon advances into close range.  Mirando lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS GORDON TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Gordon quickly recovers. 
Mirando lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Gordon closes the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Mirando connects with a right hook.  
Mirando is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gordon gets on the inside.  Mirando lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Mirando steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Mirando senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Gordon and just needs the right shot.  Mirando SLAMS a hurtful right uppercut into his opponents face.  GORDON IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Mirando switches the action to the outside.  Mirando DETONATES a CRUSHING cross on his opponents face.  GORDON HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Mirando!
