Juan Ortis vs Diego Ortegon

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Palacio Contador, Montevideo,  taking place on 22/07/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Uruguay Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports Latin America, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Juan Ortis (12(6) - 1) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Diego Ortegon(10(2) - 1 - 2) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Ortis and Ortegon weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rico Rogero, and the three ringside judges are Juan Jacinto, Xaverius Gramajo and Yago Montejo.  

Round 1: 

Ortegon lands a straight 1 - 2.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ortegon dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ortis pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a stinging left hook.  
Ortis contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Ortegon throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Ortegon gets on the inside.  Ortis lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Ortis feints a cross, fooling Ortegon into launching a cross counter.  Ortis springs the trap, countering with  a firm right uppercut.  
Ortegon steps inside.  Ortis lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Ortis feints a cross, and then lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents body.  
Ortis is looking to keep his distance and lands a spiteful jab.
